Antarctic Peninsula

The Project

Use the descriptions and photographs to create your very own Antarctica pictures. We will then plan an exhibition combining the children’s work from different schools. I look forward to seeing all your drawings and paintings!

Hertfordshire schools have been sent information regarding the project. You can ask the children to do the artwork at home or to use it as part of a project in school.
Children’s artwork will be online from 1st February 2011.

Welcome

I travelled too Antarctica in December 2010. I want to inspire children about my journey and ask them to use the online diary and photographic journal to create artwork. You can read about my trip, leaving from Ushuaia on the southern tip on Argentina on the M/S Expedition. I sailed through the Beagle Channel and made the 400-mile crossing of the passage that bears the name of English explorer Sir Francis Drake. The journey took me to the Antarctic Peninsula where I made shore landings on Zodiac boats on this beautiful continent.
